It is no big surprise that Palworld has been one of the most popular games in the world over the past few days, but after some research by GamingGadgets.de, we now know how popular Palworld is, especially against its original inspiration, Pokemon, as this group has done a comparison of the Twitch viewers and streamers for both of these games over the past seven days.

During these past seven days, GamingGadgets.de has been keeping track of how many streamers have been streaming each game franchise, which includes all of Pokemon‘s games. They have even been keeping track of the number of viewers each streamer has had and how many hours each game has been viewed by said viewers as a whole.

What Are the Results of This Observation Test for Palworld and Pokemon?

As stated above, this observation test took place from January 23rd to January 30th, and there was also a 365-day study that took place from January 30th, 2023, to January 30th, 2024. When it comes to the 7-day test that took place, measured how many streamers were playing each franchise throughout those 7 days, whereas the 365-day study measured how many hours viewed each franchise received.

Many of you may be thinking that this will be a rather unfair comparison, as Pokemon has released well over 50 games over its many years of releasing games. There is nothing to worry about, as GamingGadgets.de considered this and has omitted any games that haven’t received any hours of watching.

From what we can see from this information, Palworld has massively surpassed Pokemon in so many different ways, as when it comes to streamers, only 16,544 are streaming Pokemon, whereas Palworld currently has 169,343 streaming at this current moment.

Along with this information, we can see that over the past 7 days, Pokemon has had a total of 2,074,782 viewing hours, but Palworld has had an astonishing 27,875,465 viewing hours, leaving Pokemon in its dust. But that’s not all, as the past 365 days haven’t been great for Pokemon either, as that has only managed to have 102,313,487 viewing hours, which is good, but Palworld has had 49,879,657 viewing hours, and it only released a couple of days ago.

This means that Palworld is well on its way to overtake Pokemon very soon, as the game is surpassing all kinds of records in the gaming industry and has no plans to slow down at this current time.

How Do These Numbers Affect the Future of Both Game Franchises?

So far, we can see that Palworld is quickly making its name known in the gaming community, as players are flocking to the game, whereas Pokemon has been left behind until it manages to bring itself out of the poor state it is currently in.

These numbers show that Palworld is incredibly popular and that Pokemon has a lot to learn regarding its own games to get back to this level of popularity. It will be a long climb back to the top for Pokemon, but after the gaming community has clearly shown their love for Palworld, it would make sense for Pokemon to take a step back and work carefully on its next game.

If Pokemon does not learn its lesson and continues to release poor-quality games like Pokemon Scartler/Violet, then there is a chance that it will quickly lose its player base as more gamers will move to Palworld to enjoy what is arguably a better overall experience.

That being said, with the current controversies and theories going around, we do not know what will happen regarding the future of both of these franchises, but for now, Palworld is chasing Pokemon‘s title as one of the best games of recent years, and it will most likely reach that title very soon.

What do you think about these statistics regarding Palworld and Pokemon? Are you one of the millions of viewers for either of these franchises? Let us know in the comments what you think!
