During the 4×100 meter relay race, the Japan Men’s relay team surprised everyone with a particular hand gesture that is very dear to the anime fans. Naruto is one of the most iconic anime franchises ever. It was one of the very first anime to gain a massive fan following outside the borders of Japan. The anime is based on ninjas, and each technique requires a certain hand sign. Out of all those hand signs, the Shadow Clone Jutsu hand sign is the most popular one. The Japan Men’s relay team performed the hand sign before the start of the 4×100-meter relay race.

When the camera pointed to them, the first three members showed the Shadow Clone Jutsu sign. The last member went for the Rasenshuriken, another powerful ability of Naruto Uzumaki. Overall, it was a great experience for the fans who understood the meanings behind their gestures. There have been past incidents of people copying Naruto. The most common of them all is the running style of the shinobi with hands behind their back.

Even though they showcased high spirits, they came in fifth. They were only 0.17 seconds away from earning the Bronze medal. The Shadow Clone Jutsu could also signify that all the sprinters were the shadow clones of the first one. Moreover, it required Naruto Uzumaki’s three clones to perform the Rasenshuriken. Even Masashi Kishimoto would be proud of how they coordinated their moves.
