Following criticism from fans who agree with Parris that Dreamcast Guy should not have been on the air and that proper research wasn’t done when selecting participants for the broadcast, VGC made a statement addressing the discussions.

In its statement, the publisher acknowledged that after the broadcast went air, it became aware of things it hadn’t known before. Admitting that it failed to fully vet the people involved in the broadcast, the publisher promised to be more careful about such issues in the future.
