Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuted with a massive critic score of 88 out of 100 but received a poor score of 36% on the rotten tomato score. After being hailed as review-bombing by the people, Amazon suspended reviews for 72 hours as they verified each and every review of being human. However, several fans slam the entertainment giant for the bad reviews being honest rather than senseless review-bombing.

Fans Disputed Over Racial Diversity In The Rings of Power
In the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, there has been no mention of people of a different color. The only exception is that the elves are known to be tall and fair as the starlight. Several fans took the mark that the use of racial diversity in the recent series spoiled the original world of the creator of Middle Earth.

Fans cried racism to those who alleged that they would prefer originality over racial diversity and cries for “racism” were heard throughout Twitter. The topic has become one of dispute and much controversies along with the comparison of the currently running HBO’s House of the Dragon.
Seems like Amazon doesn't want honest reviews to be expressed. This is the same way they suppressed criticisms of Amazon warehouse working conditions too.

I literally can’t get through it. I’m a die hard lover of this world, but the show is stale. Acting, subpar.

I think it was slow, but so was the first lord of the rings movie. They are trying to establish the characters, but so far they are one dimensional and stiff.

Both the fantasy worlds of George R.R. Martin and J.R.R. Tolkien share a common ground. House of the Dragon is the currently running prequel to the world-famous series Game of Thrones that ended its 8th season on a low note. Fans were not expecting much from the prequel however, they were left shocked with how beautiful the outcome had been. HBO’s House of the Dragon received a score of 8.9/10 on IMDB with an 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The exact opposite was partially true for The Rings of Power. There were not many expectations from Amazon Studio to deliver a series with the likes of the movies by Peter Jackson. The series opened to a poor audience with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 33% while an average rating of 6.1/10 on IMDB (which is poor for a Middle Earth movie/series).
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is available to stream exclusively on Prime Video with the upcoming episode expected to release on 9th September 2022. While HBO’s House of the Dragon is slated for a release date (of its next episode) on 4th September 2022 and will be available to stream on HBO.
