After winning manga readers’ hearts, Naruto jumped over to dominate the anime industry, and now, it is all set to make its splash in the live-action field. According to reports, a live-action version of Naruto is currently in the works, and fans can’t stop wondering who could get cast as whom.

For those non-anime fans who may not know, Orochimaru was one of the major characters in the Naruto saga. He was Konohagakure’s legendary Sannin before he turned to the evil side to learn all of the secrets of the world.
Since Naruto is notably getting a live-action adaptation now, fans were seemingly worried about who could possibly play Orochimaru. But after looking at that edited photo of Billie Eilish, it seems they don’t need to look any further!
Well, for one thing, Billie Eilish 100% holds the potential to absolutely kill it as Orochimaru. But for another, this art was only created for satirical purposes, so there’s also a 100% chance that someone else scores the role and nails it better.
Besides, Billie Eilish is much better at being real and unapologetically herself than acting, so fans might as well count her out of this!
Everything We Know About Naruto Live-Action Adaptation So Far
As confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Naruto‘s journey among fans isn’t one that would be stopping anytime soon considering how it is now on the track to getting its very own live-action version. This adaptation would notably be penned and helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
Moreover, Destin Daniel Cretton would be pairing up with Jeyun Munford to produce the project through his company Hisako, and would further be joining Avi Arad, Ari Arad, and Emmy Yu of Arad Productions for this live-action project as well.
While this adaptation had been in the works since 2015 with Lionsgate, it will finally be progressing forward now that Cretton, who has co-written and directed the Marvel masterpiece Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as well, has joined the crew.
Although fans previously feared that the creators would end up ruining Naruto too by turning it into a live-action adaptation (as has happened with multiple manga and anime projects), their concerns were somehow put to rest after Cretton got Mangaka Masashi Kishimoto’s blessings (via THR).
Thus, for now, the only thing that remains is who gets cast into what role for the live-action adaptation of Naruto (which would notably disclude Billie Eilish as Orochimaru, because, well, we’ll let you figure it out.).
