The release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is just on the horizon and CD Projekt Red has launched the trailer for the expansion. The upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC will launch tomorrow and is a spy-thriller expansion that will bring a brand-new storyline and a new district called Dogtown alongside more new content to the game.
The expansion will also add new quests with the storyline, new quests, vehicles, weapons, and more, completely changing the game. The players will take on the role of mercenary V and go on a mission to save the NUSA President. Check out what the trailer entails below.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Launch Trailer Is Here
The trailer begins with the cutscenes from the Phantom Liberty DLC and features the characters that players will get to see in the expansion. These include V, a cyberpunk for hire, secret agent Solomon Reed played by Idris Elba, leader of Dogtown Kurt Hansen, netrunner So Mi, and President Rosalind Myers.
The trailer also features Johnny Silverhand played by Keanu Reeves and is set around the new location of Dogtown in Night City which players will see in the expansion. In the video, V is shown across various scenes and thinks about how V is slowly killing her. The video also features scenes from Dogtown and gameplay including a chase combat where V shoots a bike in the air.
Chase combat is a new feature introduced in update 2.0 and players can try it firsthand in the expansion too. Additionally, the Phantom Liberty trailer also has the new theme song in the background for Phantom Liberty by Dawid Podsiadlo. The artist has previously worked with CD Projekt on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

The world of the DLC looks immersive with a desert and black market. V visits Johnny Silverhand for advice and is seen driving around Dogtown. V is seen to be heading towards Dogtown where she will embark on the mission to save NUSA president. The campaign mission is expected to be filled with spies and action which players will try to uncover with Solomon Reed.
Phantom Liberty will bring much more thrill to an already overhauled game. The game seems to have finally reached its potential after three years with the latest update 2.0 and the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC. The players seem to have already engaged in the game as there has been a huge boost in the player numbers of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches on September 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The expansion is already available for the players on the console to preload and install.
