Xbox’s recent move to close multiple studios, including Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks, Redfall developer Arkane Austin, and Mighty Doom developer Alpha Dog Games, hasn’t gone well with the gaming community, and Xbox head Phil Spencer is being criticized alongside other people.
Gamers have bashed the company for its decisions, and it’s fair given how well Pray from Arkane Austin and Hi-Fi Rush from Tango Gameworks performed. The fans have turned to social media to criticize the company and Phil Spencer, but the Xbox head is now also a target for fans in Fallout 76.
Phil Spencer Is Burning With the Heat From Gamers
The closure of the studios has angered and saddened the gaming community, especially the Xbox community, and they have been blaming Xbox head Phil Spencer for it. Social media is filled with fans saying that Spencer is doing a terrible job running Xbox, and the latest move is just another controversial one since he took over as its head a decade ago.
However, the heat against the Xbox Head from social media has now spread to Fallout 76 as players have nuked his camp in the game, and it is now burning. This is according to images shared on X/Twitter. The images show a nuclear blast surrounding the camp owned by P3, which is Spencer’s gamer tag, next to the Whitesprings.

It does not require much brainstorming to figure out the reason behind this. However, launching nukes at other player’s camps is a pretty tedious task, as players are needed to gather silo codes and then shoot through them to be able to nuke a camp. Given how a player has achieved this, it shows gamers are more angry right now than Spencer and Xbox can gauge.
Players Are Repeatedly Nuking Spencer’s Camp and They Are Happy, in a Way
Surely, fans destroying P3’s camp will not change what has happened with the studios, but it speaks volumes about the player’s attitude towards him and the company. Players are apparently also enjoying this, as they think destroying something dear to Spencer will teach him a lesson on how to go about making the next decisions about games and studios.
The nuking of Spencer’s base camp has not seen any sympathy from players, and the responses on the post are proof of that. One player said that now Spencer will be feeling the “heat,” referring to the controller announcement from the company shortly after it closed the studios.

Another fan said that he “definitely deserved” it. The player behind the nuking also commented on the post, saying, “Guilty,” and the nuking isn’t the first. According to one user, this has happened “3 times.”
Thank you for your service

One user said that fans cannot wait for God to do everything and it’s good that players are doing something, while one joked that now he may close the studio after this, and another asked him not to.
This is like the 3rd time this has happened
