Get ready to dive back into the post-apocalyptic wasteland because Bethesda is giving the game a massive upgrade visual upgrade, coincidentally announced right around the release of the new Fallout Amazon Prime TV show. Mark your calendars for April 25th, because your wasteland adventures are going to get more immersive and action-packed than before.
Fallout 4 Gets a Free Next-Gen Update for Consoles
What exactly does this update entail? For starters, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can look forward to native applications, performance mode, and quality mode settings, along with stability improvements and fixes. This means buttery-smooth gameplay running at up to 60 FPS and eye-catching resolutions.
Bethesda also has stuff laid out for current-gen console users. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will also receive a free update, complete with stability improvements, login fixes, and quest optimizations.
PC players also have a little something coming toward them. Bethesda is rolling out a free Fallout 4 update for PC that’ll let players enjoy widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, along with fixes to Creation Kit and a slew of quest updates.
Plus, for Japanese and Chinese language players, Bethesda.net login issues have been resolved, so you can dive into the world of mods with ease. It’s a win-win situation for players on any device.
But wait, there’s more. Alongside the epic update, Fallout 4 will be making its debut on the Epic Games Store. It’s also been verified for the Steam Deck; continue your adventures anywhere you want to now.
Bethesda Throws In Some Free Creation Club Items
The new Creation Club additions include a bunch of stuff that you can check out.
First up, we have the Enclave Remnants that bring the infamous Pre-War cabal, The Enclave, into the Fallout 4 storyline. In the thrilling new quest titled “Echoes of the Past,” players are tasked with stopping The Enclave from spreading their dangerous ideology and gaining a foothold in the Commonwealth.
Players will also receive a collection of workshop items to spruce up their settlements, as well as the Enclave Colonel uniform. And for those looking to add some flair to their weapons and armor, Bethesda is throwing in Enclave Weapon Skins and Enclave Armor Skins to give your gear a sleek makeover.
You’ll also get access to powerful weapons like the Tesla Cannon, Hellfire Power Armor, X-02 Power Armor, and Heavy Incinerator to wreak havoc on their enemies with devastating firepower.
If unconventional weapons are more your style, the Makeshift Weapon Pack has got your back. It includes a variety of unconventional objects that have been transformed into deadly weapons, such as a baseball launcher, a nail gun, and a piggy bank.
Last but not least, we have the Halloween Workshop, which has 38 new Halloween decorations that you can use for your settlement.
