Recently, we witnessed one of the best gaming events of this year, the Xbox Games Showcase. Even God of War creator David Jaffe is appraising this event. God of War is a PlayStation title, so one can assume Jaffe to be from the rival camp of Xbox. But even after that, the high applause from the Kratos maker himself speaks volumes about the event.
The PlayStation State of Play was held a few days ago. But after seeing the caliber and brilliance of Games Showcase, Jaffe has some advice for Sony’s console to make things competitive going forward.
God of War Creator David Jaffe Has Some Serious Suggestions for PlayStation

Recently on X, Jaffe shared a post praising the rival console company. According to him, the Xbox Showcase was “FANTASTIC.” Many highly anticipated games and updates regarding existing titles were revealed at this event.
Goodness- that was a FANTASTIC show from @xbox! If (and they've done LITTLE to suggest they can, BUT IF) they deliver on most of those games, the folks at Playstation are gonna have to have a serious conversation about how to compete moving forward.

And Jaffe has some advice for Sony if Xbox delivers most of the titles; however, he has some doubts regarding this, as according to him, Xbox has done “LITTLE” to suggest it can. He has also explained his reason for being doubtful about Xbox. He has stated that he has been very critical of Microsoft’s first-party studios’ ability to deliver.
He is satisfied with all the trailers, but until he is playing and enjoying the game, he won’t be sure about the announced titles delivering. But if they deliver, then this is what Jaffe wants his console company to do:
The folks at Playstation are gonna have to have a serious conversation about how to compete moving forward.
One fan countered Jaffe’s compliment by asking what would happen if all the announced titles went multiplatform.
Not all but many and even if they all are, the point is actually stronger: IMO, you put out great games and charge people 70 bucks/SINGLE game or 15 bucks for HUNDREDS of games (including the ones they showed) then GAMEPASS is going to soar.

Again, Jaffe took the side of Xbox and stated that even if all the titles go multiplatform, people will prefer playing 100 of those titles for 15 bucks rather than playing one title for 70 bucks. And that’s why, according to him, Xbox Game Pass will likely succeed even further.
Jaffe Has Another Advice for PlayStation
![David Jaffe wants Sony to lower down the price of PS5.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/10130131/fwf-1024x576.png)
Right now, it is all in the air that Sony is working on a newer-age console, which is going to be the biggest technical leap for the company. Now, the problem is that, even at the later stage of the PS5’s life cycle, Sony is adamant about not lowering the price of the base version of the console.
That’s why Jaffe posted a sarcastic tweet suggesting lowering the price of the console after the State of Play. And this advice from Jaffe makes huge sense.
The PS5 came four years ago, but there is no hint of any price cut on this console, as Sony should be looking to clear the stocks of the remaining PS5 as the next console is highly speculated right now.
