A video game researcher named Kurakasis took to X saying the following:

I can reveal that a new Metro game, which is going to be announced very soon, is a VR game titled

METRO AWAKENING

Metro fans will be excited for this one. Not only is there going to be a new addition to the franchise, but it is going to be on PSVR 2.

Metro is a post-apocalyptic fiction franchise that started as novels and later turned into video games. All of the Metro stories share the same setting a fictional universe in the novels based on the author’s own vision of a devastated Moscow. Metro was first turned into a video game in 2010, developed by 4A Games and published by THQ.

This first-person shooter erring on survival horror has many scary elements to it, so as a VR game, it could be interesting. This has by no means been confirmed, this is speculation and not fact, nonetheless. If it is true, many fans will be eagerly waiting.
