Before Zendaya became one of the biggest stars working in Hollywood right now, she started her career on the stage and as a fashion model. She soon auditioned for the Disney Channel show Shake It Up and was selected to play Rocky Blue. The premiere of Shake It Up was Disney Channel’s second highest-rated premiere. The show, which also starred Bella Thorne, ran for three seasons.

Zendaya then appeared in the Disney film Frenemies and also embarked on a singing career. She participated in the reality dance show Dancing with the Stars and was then the youngest celebrity to appear on the show at age 16. She appeared as the lead in the film Zapped and went on to headline the Disney show K.C. Undercover. The show ran for three seasons. She also starred in the Hugh Jackman and Zac Effron starrer The Greatest Showman.

Ever since she became a household name, Zendaya has had difficulty balancing her private and professional life. A nightmare for many celebrities, every mundane event of her life seems to be captured by the paparazzi much to her annoyance. While some may say it is part of the job of being a world-renowned actress, there are still some moments that she feels are bizarre.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Zendaya mentioned how her ever-rising fame has resulted in her isolating herself from her friends and family. She said,

“After the last Spider-Man and the last season of Euphoria, there was a visceral change. Before, I could get away with going places and getting in and out. But in Boston, I would end up going right back home, because it was really overstimulating. Everybody would go hang out at a bar or something, and I’d be like, ‘I’d love to, but I think I could ruin everybody’s night. Because it’s just not going to be fun once I’m there.’ ”

While life events like her relationship with co-star Tom Holland are certainly made public with much fanfare, Zendaya was surprised that even little moments would end up being captured. She recalled one particular incident in Venice,

“I had this idea of, like, I can walk around Venice. No, I can’t. I had to pick up his poo, and I was like, Lord, please, don’t take a picture of me picking up my dog’s s*it. There’s a picture of me holding the bag, but thankfully they spared the grabbing and the putting it in the bag part.”

While she might find it bizarre, Zendaya’s fame is only on the rise since she has a string of releases in the pipeline. She is all set to appear in Dune: Part Two, Challengers, and will be back for Euphoria season 3.
