Jennifer Lawrence on the Infamous Garlicky Kisses With Liam Hemsworth

When it comes to friendship, the two Hunger Games actors, Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence are pretty tight. But the thing that Hemsworth brought up while talking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, took the internet by storm. The actor complained, the garlic-tuna-flavored kisses brought an extra kick to the scenes of the movie, Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which he did not particularly enjoy. He said,

“Any time I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable. When you look at it on the outside it looks like a great picture. She’s one of my best friends. I love her.–But if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting,”

The actor shared his account almost more than eight years ago, and now it was Jennifer Lawrence’s turn. As she dropped by to taste some of the spiciest hot wings on the planet all while debunking the theories that followed after the Hemsworth interview. When asked about the incident, she replied “It was not intentional,” with a laugh. She then further advised her friend to man up, and get over it by saying,

“It was just, like, what I was eating, and then we’d kiss! He should just, you know, get over it,”

Thus, one can say it wasn’t the punk Jennifer Lawrence self, trying to prank her best friend neither was she blissfully ignorant about the fact, it was all a mere coincidence that led to nearly tarnishing her reputation as a kisser.

Liam Hemsworth Taught Jennifer Lawrence Some Valuable Life-Lessons

No matter how much they fight, Lawrence admitted Hemsworth has been an integral part of her life since the beginning. The actor reportedly taught the Academy Award-winning actress some pretty valuable lessons that came in pretty handy to her throughout her career. In an interview with People, the actress claimed,

“I am a wimp about standing up for myself,—taught me how to stand up for myself. I would always be like, ‘Please like me! Please like me!’ ”

“there were times when I was really bad about that,–It’s my biggest weakness – with negotiating, or even with people. Liam is always fair, he is always kind, he is always strong. He’s teaching me to toughen up a little bit, and it’s important. I need that.”

The friendship Lawrence and Hemsworth share is very rare in Hollywood. Thus, although the two may fight a bunch, deep down they both are looking out for one another in this wild industry. Although no official confirmation has been made yet, when asked about coming back to the billion-dollar Hunger Games franchise previously, both of them answered in the affirmative. Fans hope to see the two share the screen pretty soon.

No Hard Feelings is in theaters now, and people can catch Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 on Hulu Plus.
