One of the most essential parts of the Pokemon Go experience is Raid Battles, as they’re one of the best ways to get Pokemon with high IVs. There’s no doubt that the past few weeks have proven to be quite bittersweet for Pokemon Go fans. In a new post on the official Pokemon Go subreddit, user WaterHale1983 shared their experience and frustrations doing Moltres raids with random players in the community.

The Redditor was trying to take down the legendary bird with another trainer. Instead of helping in the raid, the other trainer decided to lay back and leave all the hard work of dealing damage to the Redditor.

I hate people like this….

Obviously, there’s no way for only one player to take down the legendary bird. The raid ended up in a complete disaster, as the Redditor ran out of time and couldn’t beat it. In the end, they lost their Remote Pass and the opportunity to capture the rare Pokemon!

It’s not the first time we’ve witnessed such issues. Since the introduction of Pokemon Go raids, we’ve constantly heard players complaining about such annoying problems. It’s really time for Niantic to stand up and revamp the raiding system in a way that punishes people who don’t contribute to raids.

In the eight years since its debut, Pokemon Go managed to become a top-dog mobile game staple and then fell in popularity due to repetitive gameplay and terrible developer changes. However, the next Dynamax update could be the change that brings the game back to its glory days.

We’ve seen theories about the Gen 8 update for the game for months at this point, but the recent leaks have revealed that Dynamax and Gigantamax features are finally coming into the experience.

Galar’s Dynamax and Gigantamax gimmick will debut with various new Pokemon for trainers to challenge. They will most likely appear in their super-sized forms at various Raid locations and revert after being captured.

This means trainers can get some of their personal favorites with a brand-new form to activate and utilize, pushing them to go out and capture mons they might’ve already registered in their PokeDex.

These new types of raids will likely pose new challenges. The encounters might be challenging to beat, or the Pokemon in the raids might have access to special moves in the Dynamax form. It’s truly going to shake up encounters and force trainers to think about their strategies twice before going into the raid.
