Prime Video has released the official trailer for its upcoming Fallout TV show, and it looks like it’ll be getting a lot of things right with the adaptation. From staying faithful to the multiple tones of the games to having a vibrant set of characters with various personalities, the footage succeeds in building up hype as fans have to wait for just over a month to experience a new story in the universe.

However, adapting such iconic games into any other medium isn’t the easiest thing to do, as there’s a chance of unsatisfied individuals in the fandom, but creator Jonathan Nolan is more than content with what he has managed to make, and that’s all that matters.

Pleasing the Entire Fandom Wasn’t Too High on the Fallout Show Creator’s Priority List

Prime Video's Fallout TV show can literally be the greatest series ever created, but someone will probably still complain.

During a press conference a day before the Fallout TV show trailer made its debut worldwide, creator Jonathan Nolan was asked a question that’s relatable to every game adaptation out there. It’s a slippery slope for creators who want to adapt games into television series or movies since they have a vision in mind that they follow to execute their ideas, but at the same time, they have to make sure that they please the fans to whom these titles mean so much.

But Nolan’s response shows what he was prioritizing while making the show, and pleasing every person in the fandom wasn’t too high on the list.

I don’t think you really can set out to please the fans of anything,” the Prime Video Fallout series creator answered, stating that it’s more important that he himself is satisfied with what he has managed to bring to life with his team.

Jonathan Nolan’s approach to the TV show is interesting, as he continued by saying that it’s essential for the creators to come up with a final product that they “want to make” and trusting the process because he has been a fan of the games since the third numbered title in the series.

Nolan assured the fandom that the team has put a lot of hard work into the show as it tried to find “the pieces” that felt significant and aspired “to do the best version of those.”

If Nothing Else, Jonathan Nolan Is Quite Happy With His Prime Video Series

The new trailer seems to have captured the nuclear wasteland really well.

Wrapping up his answer, Jonathan Nolan stated that “it’s kind of a fool’s errand to try to figure out how to make people happy” and that creators have to first and foremost make themselves “happy.” And the Fallout TV show creator is “very happy with the show.” Which shows in the spectacular trailer that seems to have captured the overall feel of the video games it is based on.
