Prince Harry is one of the most talked about individuals in the media. Being a member of the Royal family as the Duke of Sussex and the younger son of King Charles III and Princess Diana of Wales, he needs no introduction. Though in the past, the Royal has been his support for the series, recent comments from sources suggest that he will not be tuning in to the sixth and final season of the series. The reason for this is the topic that it covers, that being, the final few weeks of the life of his mother.
Prince Harry Will Not Watch The New Season
The Crown is a highly beloved and critically acclaimed series, following the story of the British royal family and monarchy. It has been called to be extremely accurate to an extent and a member of the royal family, Prince Harry has, multiple times in the past, supported the series. It would seem, however, this was short-lived as it has been revealed by sources close to the Royal that he will not be watching the recent sixth and final season of the series.
The reason for this, according to Vogue, is the topic that the season handles. The first half of the sixth season follows the last few weeks of the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. It is only natural that the Royal finds it to be a sensitive topic and would not like to revisit these sad memories again. Sources added that it would not be wise for him to revisit that trauma so many years later.
Prince Harry Doesn’t Hold Bad Feelings Towards The Series
One would expect that on top of not watching the season, Prince Harry would hold negative feelings towards the series for showcasing such a sensitive moment in his life, with the number of times Princess Diana’s name gets brought up in media. In actuality, this isn’t the case.
It was clarified that even though Prince Harry would not be watching the season of The Crown, he holds absolutely no negative feelings and harbors no ill towards anyone who is making the series. The same, however, cannot be said about his brother, Prince William. The royal mentioned that he was completely sickened by what the series was doing, adding that he hates how his mother is being brought up over and over and exploited so he would not be watching.
