Anne Hathaway has been in the Hollywood industry long enough to have a fanbase so strong that it can defend her when she cannot do so herself. The actress also happens to have a lot of haters. The actress has been called names, talked about behind her back, and so much more. However, she has always tried her best to keep a smile on her face and deal with everything head-on. There is a lot that comes with becoming one of the top actresses and she knew nothing could come her way from achieving that.

Critics Were Not Fans Of Anne Hathaway

Some people do not deal well with enthusiasm and cannot fathom how someone can have as much energy as Anne Hathaway does. The actress may have a chirpy personality but she means no harm with it. Whether it is purely for the cameras or she really is like that might never be something fans find out about. However, not everyone is fond of it.

“It’s not really Anne Hathaway I ‘hate,'” writer Sarah Nicole Prickett commented on the actress. “It’s all the lesser, real-life Anne Hathaways I have known — princessy, theater-schooled girls who have no game and no s*x appeal and eat raisins for dessert.”

Not only did some critics comment on how she might not have the ability to attract an audience, but she also happened to have a personality they weren’t very fond of. According to Prickett, it was what could be described as the personality of a theater kid. Someone who might generally be characterized as an individual who can absorb the aura of their surroundings. Although, according to her, she tried too much while she would do so.

Anne Hathaway Is Always Performing

Anne Hathaway developed an infamous reputation for being an overcompensating theater kid. Not only that, she was labeled to be a bad theater kid. She was even commented to be someone who has a different personality while she is on stage or in front of the camera. Whether it is for interviews or for filming a movie, she is always ready.

“She always seems like she’s performing, and her favorite act is this overstated humility and graciousness. I’ve known theater kids my whole life. I was a theater kid my whole life. She is the epitome of the bad kind of theater kid.”

Haters even referred to her overdoing it from time to time where it becomes visible that she is trying too hard. However, that might not be the case because by profession she is an actress. Not only that, but she is an Oscar-winning actress who might know exactly what she is doing.
