A big announcement for LEGO gaming fans has just been revealed for PS Plus, as the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers game has been announced to come to the service on April 16th for players to download for free as long as they have an active PS Plus subscription.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to try out this incredible addition to the Marvel franchise, then this is the perfect chance to jump in and give it a go, as there is plenty of content to explore and enjoy while also revisiting some rather familiar settings from other parts of the franchise.
PS Plus Gets a Major Boost as Lego Marvel’s Avengers Joins the Large Catalog of Games for Players to Choose From
One of the biggest issues gamers have had over recent years is the common problem of signing up for a subscription service like PS Plus and not receiving anything worthwhile for the prices that they are paying out.
Recently, this has been a very regular issue as the games that have been coming to the PS Plus catalog have been rather middling and haven’t brought a lot of attention from the gaming community, but luckily things seem to be turning around as LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is a sign that good games will soon be coming back to the subscription service.
Even though LEGO may not be for everyone, this title may be a good chance to give it a try as it includes many of the films, characters, and stories that Marvel fans will be already acquainted with, while having the comical twist of LEGO and its incredible open-world exploration aspects thrown in.
While We Wait for New Marvel Games, This PS Plus Addition Will Keep Us Busy, for Now
One of the best reasons for gamers to jump at the opportunity for this upcoming PS Plus game is due to the unfortunate lack of Marvel-related games over the coming months. Even though there are some projects currently in development, we sadly won’t see them for some time.
With the lack of Marvel content throughout all kinds of media, it is good to see a rather well-received game get some recognition and even more attention, especially after the inevitable demise of Marvel’s Avengers live service game, which eventually died out. But now players can see what a good Marvel game can look like, even if it is a little blocky.
This provides players with the opportunity to try something new if they haven’t played it already, while preparing themselves for the gripping stories that will be coming sometime in the future in the form of the upcoming Iron Man game from EA and Motive and the upcoming Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from Skydance Media.
