Ryan Gosling Gives Shoutout to His Stuntman In The Fall Guy at SXSW
Ryan Gosling and David Leitch opened The Fall Guy to a packed and pumped audience at SXSW. Before the premiere, Gosling and Leitch introduced the film to audiences as they spoke about how special the film was and being a love letter to stuntmen. In a film celebrating stuntwork, Gosling let them shine throughout the film as they performed some death-defying practical stunts.
Gosling gave a huge shoutout to his stuntman Logan Holiday, who earned a Guinness World Record for the most canon rolls in film history. He recounted a hilarious day on set where Holiday pat him on his back for a stunt he did, which Gosling felt was weird. He also praised the incredible contribution of stuntmen and their tireless dedication, in making actors look good in films. He said, (via Deadline)
“I want to say, I’m Ryan Gosling and I did almost none of my stunts in this movie,” he said to great cheers. Gosling also recently revealed how Steven Spielberg’s praise of the film left him extremely overwhelmed. In addition to Gosling and Emily Blunt, the film also stars Aaron Taylor Johnson, Winston Duke, Stephanie Tsu, and Hannah Waddingham. The Fall Guy hits theatres on May 3, 2024.
