The SAG-AFTRA strike was officially over on 9th November, and with this, Marvel has announced the new release dates for its upcoming movies.
After watching the number of releases, it looks like Marvel will own the year 2025. But hold on, the only thing that ultimately matters is what fans want.
Marvel focuses on producing more movies, while this time, the DC Universe is focusing more on quality. This is one of the reasons why fans are excited about DC movies in 2025. In addition to that, it will produce one of the most anticipated superhero movies — The Batman II.
2025 is Dedicated to Marvel, But Fans Are More Excited to Watch That One DC Film
Recently, Discussing Film has posted “Every comic book movie releasing in 2025” on its X (formerly Twitter) account. The list contains a total of 6 movies from both Marvel and DC movies, which will be released in 2025.
The names of the movies are: Captain America 4 (February 14 ), Fantastic Four (May 2), Superman: Legacy (July 11), Thunderbolts (July 25), The Batman 2 (October 3), and Blade (November 7). From the list of 6, the four movies are from Marvel, and the other two are from DC.
After looking at this, it looks like the year 2025 belongs to Marvel. But it’s not like that. After reading the comments on the X post, it is evident that fans are obsessing over upcoming DC projects, especially The Batman 2.
No doubt, Batman is one of the most popular and beloved superheroes. He is famous because he does what he does without any superpowers. People are anticipating The Batman 2 to be a smash hit because the film has the potential to construct a spectacular storyline.

After seeing the excitement of fans, it would not be wrong to say that the new DC Universe will reign over Marvel in the future.
Will DC Universe Rule Over Marvel in the Near Future?
DC is now preparing for the launch of the DC Universe with James Gunn and Peter Safran in the lead. And it will finally use its biggest advantage over its competitor, MCU.
Gunn and Safran announced in January 2023 that they officially had a new ten-year plan for DC. They will shoot two films a year and two HBO Max series a year—the quality-over-quantity approach that Marvel is missing out on.
The Universe will be divided into chapters. The first one is God and Monsters, and it will begin in 2025 with the movie Superman: Legacy. This proves that DC is finally using its biggest advantage over the MCU.
