The opening scene of Reacher’s episode, “Picture Says a Thousand Words,” is bittersweet. We saw what happens to Franz, and it’s pretty much what Reacher said when he read the police report. Franz was tortured and beaten within, including his arms and legs being broken with a crowbar.

He is then taken on a stretcher into a medical evacuation helicopter, which is flown into the chilling nighttime winter sky. We now know who is running the operation. His name is Shane Langston (Robert Patrick). He again asks for the thumb drive or will toss Franz from the helicopter.

Franz refuses. He is then pushed towards the back doors that have opened. Franz begins to laugh. Shane asks him what’s so funny. He laughs again. Franz says, “I was just thinking what the big guy’s going to do to you.” He refers to Reacher, and Franz is tossed out of the plane. Shane then says, “Big guy? Who the hell was he talking about?” Sir, believe me, you have no idea.

Prime Video’s Reacher Season 2 Episode 3 Recap: Who Arrests Reacher?

A NYPD patrol officer pulls over what’s left of the 101st unit. They are told to wait. Reacher knows what is happening. He thinks the man he punched has located them, and they are waiting for him to arrive. Time passes, and he hears a knock on his window. It’s the man. His name is Detective Gaitano ‘Guy’ Russo (Domenick Lombardozzi), and he arrests Jack immediately.

Instead of processing Reacher (Alan Ritchson), Russo wants to tell them that Orozco and Sanchez are dead, but they already know. They begin to show goodwill between both parties and exchange information, which includes the numbers “650” and “100K.” However, that doesn’t last long when Russos suggests the dead men are in on it, and Jack means Russo is dirty.

Russo then does something they didn’t expect. He removes his cuffs, gets in Reacher’s face, and tells him he’s not a dirty cop. When tempers die, Russo tells them they found the memory card in Franz’s printer. It was the last case file for Azhari Mahmoud. Yes, it’s one of the names on Franz’s list. Jack tells the detective about it. Sanchez and Orozco helped Franz track the name down.

What lead do Neagley and Dixon Follow Up On?

Neagley (Maria Sten) and Dixon (Serinda Swan) follow up on a parking pass from the killers in Atlantic City. This leads them to Marlo Burns, the New Age Director of Operations. Yes, it is owned by Shane Langston. The parking pass was issued to Trevor Saropian (he was killed in episode 2), who was interviewing for a job. He gave them his address, 948 Emerson Drive.

Detective Russo then makes a mistake. At the airport, they try to locate Azhari Mahmoud (the assassin, McBride). He spots an undercover cop there. To test him, he knocks over his suitcase “accidentally” and discovers it’s empty. Why would a man go to the airport with an empty bag? He calls Langston and tells him the bad news. The team then enters the home on Emerson Drive.

Knowing it’s full of Saropian’s assassins. Reacher tosses in a pipe and kills everyone. (They think Burns set them up with the address to be killed.) They spot the New Age director of security in an SUV, and he tries to get away. Jack catches him by throwing a barbeque into his windshield, but he dies of a heart attack. Russo omitted the “dimensions” of Reacher in his report at the scene.
