The Reacher episode “A Man Goes Through” is the penultimate episode that will set up the bone-crunching, knuckle-breaking, and lip-busting finale. The story starts with our Hulk-like former MP finally getting his eyes on a Clark bar, only for Jane to take it. Reacher further ruins the mood by announcing they are going to kill people, including the adolescent child.

Dixon also has a sweet hiding spot in Buffalo for Marlo and her daughter to hide. O’Donnell and Dixon send Marlo and Jane on their way. He gives them Yankees caps to wear so they can blend in. If you are a Western New Yorker like me, you give these two Buffalo Bills caps to blend in to be a true local. Baseball gear will not cut it.

Dixon sees how warm and tender O’Donnell is with Jane as he wishes them good luck. Knowing he has a family, she tells him he doesn’t have to go. O’Donnell scoffs at the idea of being left out of the fun. As we said, the bone-crunching, knuckle-breaking, and lip-busting kind of good time Reacher is known for.

Prime Video’s Reacher Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Who sold out Russo to Langley?

Marsh tells Reacher (Alan Ritchson) at gunpoint. He sold out Russo to Langston. He did so because, if you remember, Russo refused to take a big bag of money to cover up the murders. He ultimately chooses to protect Marlo’s daughter, Jane, which costs him his life. As we watch Reacher hold Marsh at gunpoint, he has a bag of money, a suitcase, and a gun on his desk. Jack gives him an ultimatum.

Either turn himself in and spend the rest of his life in prison, or he can shoot him where he stands. Marsh reaches for the gun, and the former MP kicks the desk, which pins Marsh against the wall. With a tree trunk for a leg, Reacher keeps him pinned there. He continues to apply pressure. Marsh answers his questions. His job was to report to Langston when Russo got too close.

He knew nothing about the 650 shoulder-holstered missiles Langston was selling. Marsh also informs Reacher that Grant is still alive in the hospital. (He’s the one who Neagley ran over who was about to shoot Marlo’s daughter in the last episode.) He could answer Reacher’s questions. Marsh then reaches for his gun. Jack fires, putting a perfect piece of hot lead into his temple.

The not-so-gentle giant takes a roll of hundreds and hilariously gives it to Neagley (Maria Sten) to pay her back.

Why were the special investigators disbanded?

The Special Investigations Unit was disbanded because Reacher ignored his supervisor’s direct order. In this case, a Colonel high up on the food chain is trying to protect his legacy. That’s hard to keep nice and shiny if you are letting a drug smuggling operation happen right underneath his nose. Jack tells his command that he will take the ring down anyway.

He tells his squad that anyone who wants to join him is welcome. Those who do will most likely be discharged or transferred to an outpost where they wish they had. No one in the squad waives. Since the operation will probably be completed tonight (most of the base is off on the weekend), they will monitor the hanger with surveillance.

Sure enough, they catch three officers smuggling heroin in the tires of large military humvees. That’s when the buyers show up. The special investigators kill them all, including the military officers, except one. He breaks his leg. But as Reacher points out, the fall broke his leg. Jack just ran over the fence with a car he was trying to climb over to escape.

The next day, everyone knows their fate; Swan plays Crazy On You by Heart on his guitar. The entire squad joins in on the chorus. That’s when the unit’s commander shows up and gives Reacher an earful. Jack doesn’t hesitate to provide him with his snarky quips. The commander then paints an ominous picture of everyone involved and dismisses the special investigators officially.

Reacher’s Season 2 Episode 7 Ending Explained:  Who Abducts Dixon?

Langston abducts Dixon (and O’Donnell). Reacher finds this out, again hilariously, after killing one of Langston’s assassins, picking up their cellular phone, and calling the New Age officer directly. He had a tracker on Russo’s (Domenick Lombardozzi) car that led him to the motel where they were staying.

Both were only at the hospital to question Grant. After torturing him, he confessed to the duo that Langston was meeting the buyer at 5 p.m. tomorrow. Reacher then kills Grant by causing an embolism when injecting air into his IV. The former MP added, “This is for Gaitano Russo.”

The episode of Reacher ends with him making a deal with Lavoy to use his security team (a mix of former Navy Seals and Army Rangers) on a mission to rescue his friends. To take Langston by surprise, he has to give himself up and “get a jump on them.” Jack thinks he can handle the torture he will most likely endure because he saw Franz’s autopsy record.

The gigantic ex-military officer walks into the New Age grounds, and the security team draws their weapons as the song “Let the Man Go Through” plays him out. For some reason, Langston wheels out Dixon (Serinda Swan) and O’Donnell, strapped to gurneys, to greet him.
