The recent saga in the series is one of the final chapters in the Shonen series. As a result, the recent arc has not dropped the momentum from the Wano Country arc because it showcases The Straw Hats in action after a couple of episodes.

During this whole storyline, several iconic jaw-dropping fights took place, including the much-excited rematch between Gear 5 Luffy and Rob Lucci. That’s not all, because it all featured the Seraphims going all-out against Luffy and his crew, making fans bite their nails in anticipation. However, some fans are raising their fingers on social media for some shortcomings it featured in the current arc.

One Piece Raised The Bar to a New High With Its Egghead Island Arc

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is going stronger than ever, as the manga has managed to stay on top for 27 years. Even with all the modern anime titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and so many more, none have come close to matching the popularity of the show.

The current saga, The Egghead Island Arc, explains that as it featured The Straw Hat Pirate Crew finally encountering the mad scientist, Dr. Vegapunk. However, all hell breaks loose because they were encountered by the Seraphims, CPO, Marines, and the Five-Elders.

The arc featured a ton of action, which made some fans believe that this arc is already one of the best arcs. Though it was a bold claim to make when the storyline commenced, as it continued, fans learned how right they were. Eiichiro Oda ensured that the stakes would be higher than ever, as it gives a glimpse of what is yet to come for the Future Pirate King and his loyal crew.

This storyline also featured the nail-biting rematch between Shanks and Eustass Kid, who were one-shot by the Captain of the Red Hair Pirates; Blackbeard vs. Trafalgar D. Law; and Garp launching an all-out attack to save Koby. Additionally, the backstory of Bartholomew Kuma is also revealed, which is nothing short of tragic as it gives its viewers a glimpse of the sorrowful life he led.

The majority of the viewers were delighted as the entire storyline took them on a rollercoaster of emotions. Hence, fans feel that this series is a great addition, not just to One Piece but also to the entire Shonen series as a whole.

Some Fans Are Dissatisfied With The Egghead Island Arc

Despite Oda-Sensei’s stellar work in the Egghead Island saga, which included the introduction of new characters, epic action sequences will send shivers down the spines of the fans.

Pew (@pewpiece), a reliable fan page of One Piece, asked the fans how they would rate this arc on a scale of 0 to 10. While fans loved the saga, hailing it as one of the best post-time skip arcs, some fans mentioned the downside of the storyline, which somewhat brought down the overall story.

Though the entire arc has not been animated, the saga gets more intense as Kuma returns to give one of the most satisfying and deserving punches to Saint Jaygarcia Saturn of the Five Elders.

A buster call was announced on the island, and though the arc is not concluded yet, it appears that Elbaf island will be the next destination of Luffy and his crew.
