As seen from the tweets, the audience isn’t much of a big fan of Corlys Velaryon. Although the character has found himself through troubles dark; Corlys Velaryon sailed to the darkest seas and became the richest man in all of Westeros. The spin-off would likely cover his story into power and his journey to YiTi and Asshai.
