After departing the DCEU, James Gunn and Peter Safran took charge of the cinematic universe. People now think that it’s time that Snyder deserves some justice. By helping Marvel Studios, Snyder could easily fix the Marvel Phase 4 curse and help the studios achieve impeccable success. Here are 10 ways, Zack Snyder could help the MCU beat James Gunn if Disney hired him.

1) Zack Snyder Knows How To Do Female-Led Movies

Portraying Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman with a male director is not an easy task. Taking care that the superheroes deserve every piece of respect and have an emotional depth is something many directors lack in their films. Snyder directed Zack Snyder’s Justice League in which Gal Gadot portrayed her iconic role of Wonder Woman in the movie.

Fans think that Snyder really did justice to Gadot by how wonderfully he gave Gadot the creative freedom necessary. Alongside this, the director also gave an emotional depth to her character which added another layer to her persona making her feel…real. The MCU doesn’t exactly know how to do that since Black Widow garnered a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDB (which is very less for a Marvel movie).

2) His Love For Proper CGI

This is something Marvel Studios has been lacking in in recent times. Snyder’s movies boast some really impressive CGI skills and animation that feel real and make it a part of the movie. Marvel Studios has been under some scrutiny due to their weird CGI effects (as seen in Thor: Love and Thunder)

If Disney were to hire him, the 300 director would make sure that the CGI is up to par and doesn’t feel out of place.

3) Zack Snyder Knows How To Make A Team-Up Movie

Zack Snyder’s movies are often serious with talks and strategies. Creating the Justice League required the fighting of Batman and Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which also included Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

Although the MCU does know how to create team-up movies (like The Avengers), the team-ups feel like cameos rather than showing how the team came to be. This is something that Snyder is an expert in due to his proper formulation of the DCEU.

4) He Knows How To Make R-Rated Films

This is something that the MCU desperately needs. Although Deadpool is one of the franchises allowed to be R-rated, the MCU also needs some action scenes that would be good for the adults watching the movie.

Snyder isn’t a person who shies away from blood and violence and he has used these tactics to make these DCEU movies feel more grounded in reality. The “Do you bleed?” dialogue from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice attests to Snyder’s abilities to create good R-rated movies.

5) Snyder Loves Creating Big Set Pieces

Well, look at the set pieces used for creating scenes in his DCEU movies. Although Snyder uses green screens, the director also wants to make sure that the world his actors are in feels real and believable.

The MCU does use set pieces, but they are not as detailed or as grandeur as Snyder’s set pieces. The MCU could benefit greatly if Snyder were to make an almost real battleground while directing a Marvel movie.

6) Zack Snyder Loves Some Controversial Decisions

Back in 2013, Snyder directed the Henry Cavill starrer Man of Steel. At the end of the movie, Snyder went ahead with the controversial decision to kill General Zod. Portraying Superman as a guilty killer instead of a superhuman arresting people, Snyder made a controversial decision.

This is something that the MCU would love to have since Marvel Studios do not deviate significantly from the comics. The controversial decisions could also prove successful if it sets up a further and deeper dive into a character rather than just following the comics.

7) He Is A Visionary Leader

Similar to Kevin Feige in Marvel Studios, Snyder is also a visionary leader. With love for his characters and mapping out each and every persona that his characters will portray or behave like, Snyder had already set up and concluded his vision of the Justice League until he was fired.

If the director were to join forces with Kevin Feige, the MCU could expand into a more detailed and finer version than what it is now. Creating movies just for the sake of a canon event in the future will not be a recurrence since Snyder will add a more detailed dive into each movie he makes.

8) Snyder Doesn’t Believe In Pointless Humor

This is something that Marvel fans are tired of. Underlying a sense of humor during intense scenes can be good but when it is used wisely. The recent Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder is a prime example of when humor should not be used.

Being an intense and serious director, there hasn’t been a DCEU movie where the character would joke in an intense situation. Snyder does use some humor to make the situations a bit light but he uses it wisely instead of trying to add a punch-line every chance he gets.

9) He Really Knows His Characters

Investing himself completely in the comics’ lore, Snyder has proved himself to be an avid lover of characters. Knowing his characters up close and personally, Snyder makes it a point to add a layer of depth to all of his characters.

The MCU does love its characters but doesn’t add depth to every character that appears on-screen. The MCU does try to add depth to its characters but there isn’t simply enough time to know each and every character personally.

10) Zack Snyder Loves Himself A Director’s Cut

This is something that Snyder loves. After stepping down in 2017 from Justice League due to a personal tragedy, fans campaigned that Snyder release his Snyder cut for the people. WB eventually gave in to the increasing pressure and Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released.

The movie was exclusively released on HBO Max which benefited greatly from subscribers and other fans. If Snyder were somehow to create a director’s cut of a Marvel movie and release it exclusively on Disney+, the company would be richer by the second.

All in all, it would be a great decision if Zack Snyder would join Marvel Studios and give his intense vision of the MCU alongside the humor and make the MCU a little more grounded in reality and true to our world.
