Rhea Ripley is known for being a tough competitor with impressive athleticism. She can pull off powerful moves that make fans go wild. Whether she’s in the ring or tearing it up in NXT or NXT UK, she always delivers top-notch performances.
What sets her apart is not just her physical prowess, but also her ability to evolve her character over time. She’s a hard-hitting wrestler with a knack for leaving a lasting impression on anyone who watches her in action.
Recently, when asked by influencer and professional wrestler Logan Paul what percentage of the male population she thinks she could beat up, Ripley confidently replied, “80%.” The South Australian native also explained how she beat a former male WWE star in a friendly fight.
Rhea Ripley Shares Winning Tactics Against Former WWE Star
Rhea Ripley went beyond percentages and shared an anecdote on Logan Paul‘s Impaulsive podcast about playfully grappling a former WWE male star. The male star is none other than her fiancé, Buddy Matthews.
She told how Murphy put her in a triangle choke, but she refused to give up. She joked that her stubbornness kicked in, causing him to ease up a bit, which allowed her to turn the tables on him. Check out her quote below:
“Being in the relationship that I am with my partner with both wrestlers of course. So yeah, we scrap a little bit just for fun. I normally start it and I finish it. I’m also stubborn so like, he put me in some sort of submission…… he put me in it [triangle] and like he’s like just tap, I’m like ‘no,’ so he is like slowly got tighter and like his manhood was on the line. So he slowly got to the point where he got so tired he had to sort of let go a little bit and that’s where I overpowered him and got out of him and pinned him on the ground.”
Matthews is definitely a strong wrestler himself, but it looks like Ripley have a bit of a competitive edge, even at home.
In the end, it just shows how strong and determined she is, but the AEW star is also a good sport who can take a playful pin from his future wife. After all, love is about having fun together, even if it means getting outsmarted by your partner sometimes.
