Lisa Marie Presley is the only daughter of music legend Elvis Presley, who had her with his then-wife Priscilla Presley. Lisa Marie was only 9 when she abruptly lost her father in the year 1977. But that didn’t mean his influence from her life was gone along with him.
All her life, until her death in January of 2023, Lisa Marie Presley faced both the joy as well as the pressure of being Elvis Presley’s only heir. Until her passing, she was the sole successor of Graceland and the Elvis Presley Estate.
Since her passing, the role has shifted to her daughter- Riley Keough. Though, in time, all four children of Lisa Marie Presley would inherit Graceland and the Elvis Presley Estate, since her son Benjamin’s death, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood not being of age, Reily Keough is the sole trustee of the whole estate.
After her mother’s death, when Keough was announced the sole trustee, there was even some internal conflict, with Priscilla Presley demanding her share in the estate. Now that it is solved, Riley Keough has decided to take time and honor her mother’s last wish.

Riley Keough is now ready to honor her mother’s last wish – complete her memoir. Even though she is a successful actress on her own, Keough is now focusing on preserving the legacy of her grandfather and mother. She thinks that it is not time that she completes the memoir that her mother had been working on for 3-4 years before her passing.
“It’s just something I felt that I needed to do for her and help her complete that project… It’s very bittersweet, and I am happy to do that for her. I feel honored to be able to help.”
Random House, the publishing company behind Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir, recently announced Riley Keough’s involvement with the book. They said the book is a “raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir,” told mostly through Lisa Marie Presley, “with Riley filling in the blanks from her own memory and those closest to her mother.” We are sure to get some never-before-heard stories from Graceland with this memoir.
