Despite being one of the most popular titles in the world,Valorant is slowly becoming the home for one of the most toxic player bases as well. The game has every element to become one of the greatest games of all time, but the constant rise in toxicity is ruining everything.

Be it severe rants by the surfing players against low-ranked players or turning off comms for the whole match, the game is reaching greater heights as far as toxicity is concerned. However, to fix this grave concern, Riot Games should implement a report system.

In a recent Reddit post, a dedicated Valorant player has come up with a unique fix. We already have the liberty to report players on the basis of their behavior or potential signs of hacking, which can lead them to be banned.

Now, for toxic players, this reporting system hardly gives any results. That’s why this fan thinks there should be a positive reporting system in the game. Through this system, players will be given feedback even on the basis of their good teamwork, positive vibes, sportsmanship, and the courage to stand up against toxic players.

There would be an invisible “reputation” stat. Now, this parameter will be another basis for matchmaking. Thus, players with good reputations will match together, so that a healthy and friendly environment will be maintained.

On the other hand, players with bad reputations will be queued together, so all the toxic people will be compartmentalized in a certain corner from the players who just want to enjoy the game.

However, to prevent misuse of this, these positive reports won’t be stackable on the same person. For example, you won’t be able to give continuous positive reports to your friends. A close monitoring system should be implemented as well to take a closer look at whether all the reports, be they positive or negative, are fair or not.

How Has the Valorant Community Reacted?

On that Reddit post, the whole Valorant community jumped up with their opinions. And almost all the comments were appreciative of this new idea to end toxicity in the game.

This fan has come up with an even more interesting idea. He thinks players should be rewarded with ‘Kingdom Credits‘ for upvoting and getting upvoted as well. Thus, fair and active usage of the system will be maintained. Not only that, players will change their behaviors as well to get rewarded more, through which they can buy sprays, banners, cards, bundles, and many more.

This fan too thinks this system has the potential to change the fate of the game forever. There’s only one thing that concerns him that it might fail as well just like in other games if this system is spammed recklessly on people.

Toxicity has become a grave concern in many games besides Valorant. To tackle this issue many games have implemented some respective measures. For example, the Endorsement System in Overwatch 2, the Merit System in PUBG, and many more.

Now it’s high time Riot also brings this system to change the disastrous environment of the game. What’s your opinion on the Positive Review System in Valorant? Let us know in the comment section.
