Bandai Namco posted a short video on X (formerly Twitter), in which a monster from the upcoming DLC towers over London’s iconic Big Ben. The moment fans realized what this was about, the stunt sparked a ton of amusing and sarcastic comments, proving Bandai Namco has done it again. Their sense of humor brought over five million views as fans are eager to walk the Realm of Shadows.

This social media stunt was an invitation for all players to join them in the Shadow of the Erdtree, a massive DLC for Elden Ring. While the Bandai Namco was serious enough, it seems that fans aren’t, which can be seen in many online comments.

One fan simply said Rip England, meaning there is no way to win against the bosses. 

Another fan added that the Wickerman is attacking Big Ben. 

The rant goes on and on, with one fan making a rather sarcastic comment, saying that Ireland has an ally against England in a giant fire dude.

While the fire monster is one of many new enemies that come with DLC, players are already joking about its difficulty, as one particular player wonders how to defeat such a colossal enemy.

Elden Ring’s first and only DLC, is finally out. While release times vary, everyone should be able to obtain it at midnight local time on June 21. 

The expansion brings a classic soulslike experience, from challenging enemies to massive dungeons, and a world that is begging to be explored.  According to reports, the DLC is harder than the base game and will introduce new content, including new boss fights, and new collectibles, such as Scadutree Fragments.

The core of the story will focus more on Miquella, whom you may remember as brother to the infamous Malenia. The DLC also brings a completely new area to explore and the size of the expansion is bigger than some Ubisfot full-length games.

The invitation for Tarnished seems to have been fruitful as everyone is jumping into the DLC by fighting and defeating Radahn and Mohg, with the concurrent number of players well over 700,000.
