Robert Downey Jr. Thinks Jeremy Renner Is The Underground Lord

In an interview, the six Avengers cast members were assembled and asked about their lives outside of the set. To this, Robert Downey Jr. admitted that when it comes to brunch, he’s in charge. However, when it comes to them getting together after they’re done working for the day, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner usually take over. He even deemed Renner to be Pluto, Lord of the Underworld.

Pluto, the Roman God of the Underworld was compared to the Hawkeye actor, not because of his dark persona, but more as a reference to him being somewhat of a party animal. According to Downey, the actor is a social butterfly and will always be in charge of the arrangements and would somehow know exactly what to do and where to go. He’d be able to mix well with everyone and it would seem as if he was the Lord of the Underworld. Downey even stated that the second-best contender for this would be Chris Evans.
