But the latest reports coming in show that The Matrix star Keanu Reeves has officially overtaken the Iron Man actor to become the top earner in any single movie franchise, for his role as Neo in The Matrix films. Directed by the Wachowski sisters, The Matrix became one of the most popular and commercially successful sci-fi action thrillers of all time. Despite not gaining as much fame as the original, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and The Matrix Resurrections all still raked in the big bucks at the box office.
According to reports from LADBible, Keanu Reeves’ total income for The Matrix franchise is now a staggering 156 million dollars. This figure puts him above Robert Downey Jr for MCU, Tom Cruise for Mission: Impossible, and Will Smith for Men In Black, all huge franchises with vastly popular lead actors headlining their films.
