While some of these films have become adored by fans, meeting their expectations and almost matching the essence of the original, many have fallen short, leaving the fans devastated by the memories that were ruined.

While movies like Cinderella, Maleficent, and Beauty and the Beast became fan favorites, more recent movies like Little Mermaid, Mulan, and Aladdin have caused fans to lose their faith in Disney’s capabilities of making good live-action movies. It is because of this fact that many are deeply upset with recent news about another Disney classic that is being adapted.

Disney To Make A Live-Action The Princess and The Frog

The Princess and The Frog is one of the most iconic and meaningful Disney princess movies. With the original release in 2009, the movie follows a young waitress named Tiana whose life is changed forever after she kisses a frog, only for it to turn into a prince. While the premises may sound odd when simplified, the movie was one of the most significantly impactful Disney movies of all time.

There has been recent talk that a live-action remake of this movie is in the works, with casting being ongoing right now. There have been some speculations as to who will be playing Tiana and Prince Naveen, with actors like Jenna Ortega and Simu Liu having their names thrown around the mix. Unfortunately for Disney however, Fans have had some very mixed reactions to this news as a whole.

Some went on to say that they did not want to watch this film as they knew that the casting would end up being bad. Some even straight out asked Disney to stop making live-action movies as they are never able to live up to the hype and the sentiment of the originals.
