As gamers eagerly wait for the arrival of GTA 6, we can’t help but wonder how mini-games and businesses would work in the State of Leonida. The fictional place in Grand Theft Auto’s next open-world adventure is going to feature some iconic locations based on real-life Florida.

Despite being a parody of the real world, titles from Rockstar Games often play too close to home when it comes to the underworld. This time, the fans would like to see businesses inspired by real-life events and this is how GTA 6 can make it possible.

Money Laundering Could Be a Thing in GTA 6

When games like Yakuza and Mafia showcase the underworld, a lot of it may be hidden under a layer of sugarcoated businesses and stories that may help civilians believe that everything is okay. After all, it’s important to keep up with personas, right?

It’s a similar narrative in Grand Theft Auto sometimes, and mini-games have always been a big part of the games. However, considering the nature of GTA 6 and the emotional journey it’s going to entail, we won’t be surprised to see how the game uses businesses to cover up illegal activities.

When user Particular-Theme-701 asked the Reddit community about the kind of businesses they would like to see in the game, Money Laundering was a great idea that came up. This isn’t the first time we would see something like this happen in GTA, as previous games have tried doing the same through mini-games and missions.

In GTA 6, either of the two main protagonists could be associated with some kind of a business, or maybe even run their own. We’re yet to see how this will work its way into the story.

GTA 6 Might Reiterate Older Mini-Games

NPC interactions could play a big role in this.

Remember Vice City Stories? Or even San Andreas, for that matter? These games in the GTA series established a foundation for how gangs and businesses could work in the future. In the context of GTA 6 businesses, Rockstar may just take things up a notch.

This time around, there’s a big chance we can interact with NPCs at a deeper level than just exchange dialogues. Add to this the mechanic of building a business tycoon, and we’re diving into the territories of businesses that help criminals launder money and create a facade to stay in the good eye of the public. Even the cops, for that matter.

These businesses could generate profits in the background while asking players to step in whenever the business needs help with goods and/or services. This is something that players have experienced at length with GTA Online.
