Ryan Gosling’s journey in The Mickey Mouse Club

Gosling mentioned in The Ellen DeGeneres Show, that his appearance in The Mickey Mouse Club was sort of a stroke of fate. According to him, he went for the audition because the other students in his class were going. In fact, he was surprised when he got selected. However, it was not until he saw Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera performing that he realized the talent they harbored. Although he was used to working with stars by then, according to him, he thought, “Ok, so they’re, like, freakishly talented,” during their performance.

So when it came to his performance, he joked, “I think I was just like, ‘I’m Canadian,’ and they were like, ‘Good.’” The Gray Man star also commented on their friendship saying that he cannot remember the last time they met which regrettably seems like a sign that it has been a long time.

However, according to him, although the complaints didn’t quite work, his own lack of showmanship was the reason behind his limited time on the show.
