Bethesda’s Starfield may not have won the recognition the studio would have hoped for, but players are still being rather creative with the game. Apart from using mods in the game, players have also made the most of character customization options as they recreate Ryan Gosling and popular spaceships in Starfield.
There was no sparing Bethesda’s Todd Howard either as he was among other popular celebrities that players were inspired by to create their characters. As for the spaceships, players have recreated the Millennium Falcon, the X-Wing, and other popular fictional ships as well.
From Willem Dafoe to Ryan Gosling Players Got Creative in Starfield
When Starfield was released late last year, the game opened up to record sales and a record number of concurrent players, and the hype was unparalleled. Things took a spiraling fall immediately after the actual reviews revealed a lot of flaws in the game, including a lack of facial expression, poor optimization, and several bugs.
One feature that players loved was the heavy character customization in the game. One of the players recreated Ryan Gosling when the game was released on the 1st of September last year for those who pre-ordered the Premium and Constellation editions. The screenshot shared on X showed just how much of the facial features bore an uncanny resemblance to the actor.
Willem Dafoe wasn’t spared either as a younger version of him was also created by a player and shared on Reddit. Another character brought to life in the game was Walter White from the popular TV series, Breaking Bad. From the bald head to the French Beard, the character was made to look as close to the actual character played by Bryan Cranston as possible.
Another Breaking Bad character, Mike Ehrmantraut, played by Jonathan Banks was also recreated by a player in the game. The screenshot shared on Reddit garnered several comments with fans of the series replying with their favorite dialogs of Ehrmantraut.
Also shared on Reddit was a Shrek-inspired character created in Starfield. From the green-colored skin to the ears and facial expression, a lot was going right in terms of how closely the character resembled the fictional character from the swamps.
Iconic Spaceships Recreated in Starfield
Players didn’t just stop at recreating Ryan Gosling as several iconic ships were also recreated in Starfield, including a highly accurate attempt at bringing the Millennium Falcon to the game. Halo’s Charon-class Light Frigate also joined the list of iconic ships created in Starfield.
Other creations in Starfield include a highly detailed replica of a Silver and Gold colored X-Wing, a NASA Space Shuttle model, and a Normandy SR-2 shared on Reddit. Apart from official customization options, players have also made the maximum use of available mods to add more missions, ships, and even more characters.
Players are only limited by their creative minds as several more creative replications are sure to pop up on Reddit and X. Gamers continue to find something creative to do with not just Starfield but other games like Elden Ring as well, where a player was able to replicate the God of War, Kratos himself.
Fans are also hoping to hear back from Starfield about the game’s first DLC titled Shattered Space to come out later this year.
