After a long string of disappointments, the actor was finally able to bring his Marvel dream to reality in the film leading to hundreds of thousands of people calling for a solo Gambit film. There is unending fan support for Channing Tatum and his portrayal of the Ragin’ Cajun Remy LeBeau, best known as Gambit. And while it looks like he stole the spotlight in the film, Ryan Reynolds has not forgotten about yet another cameo in the movie which made the audience jump out of their seats.

On a mission to find the replacement for Wolverine, Deadpool travels across universes to try and find one that will work for him. After a series of disappointments, he finally comes across a buff and broody variant who has his back turned to our main hero.

As the Wolverine showed off his body, Deadpool being Deadpool commented on the fact that he looked like Henry Cavill from the back. When the variant finally turns to show his face, Deadpool is as excited as the audience to have him there and immediately takes a dig at DCEU.

About a month later since the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Cavill posted a casual photo of himself enjoying the weekend as he grilled a steak.

Channing Tatum’s Gambit Redemption

Tatum had always wanted to play Gambit and tried a ton to get his version to live-action. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Now that he finally got his win with Deadpool 3, it seems like the fans don’t want Kevin Feige to let him go, not without a solo movie.

A deleted scene from the film, posted by Reynolds, pushed the idea that Gambit will return to the MCU, sooner or later. All there is left to do is wait and hope for the best.

Tatum opened up about being brought back to play Gambit in a heartfelt message for Reynolds and Shawn Levy. He posted side-by-side photos of him with Reynolds at Comic-Con. While one is from ten years ago during the preview of Deadpool, the other is very recent.

He wrote,

These pictures are almost 10 years apart to the day. I sat in the audience when Ryan Reynolds showed his first peek of Deadpool 1 to the world and I think I ran back stage right after and found him and I think I just hugged him and was like holy shit you did it man. It’s perfect. I didn’t know him really at all back then. But since then I can say that there is almost no one that has had my back in this industry more than. I thought I had lost Gambit forever. But he fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever.
