Appearing in a recent YouTube interview with Erik Voss on New Rockstars, the 21-year-old star shared her insights on everything Marvel. The host asked Vellani about her experience working with the Academy Award-winning actor. Voss highlighted that Samuel L. Jackson reportedly hates running and a scene depicted the actor shooting bullets from his chair.

Enthralled by the question, Vellani laughingly disclosed that the 74-year-old actor wouldn’t trade his sitting with anything else. She told New Rockstars

“He sits all the time, he’s always sitting and if there’s no chairs, he’ll find one, it’s amazing!”

The Ms. Marvel star further added that Jackson has been quite patient with her during the shoots, given she likes to explore and goof around with her character. Shedding light on Jackson’s love and passion for his character, Vellani shared,

“I think what was so impressive about him is how much he loved Nick Fury. He was the only person who came off of Secret Invasion and onto our film. So, he was literally keeping continuity for his own character.”

Iman Vellani also explained how people on her first day of stunt training hardly knew about her superpowers, since no one besides ‘The Khans’ were in the movie. Fury and Ms. Marvel were the only characters who seemed to be transitioning, given it was a very different crew on The Marvels’ sets.

Even though the Canadian-based actress led her own TV mini-series, she was excited about working alongside Jackson as her co-star. Continuing her admiration for the American actor, Vellani acknowledged Jackson’s professionalism during shoots. She was left inspired by his work ethic, while also adding to the goofiness of the scenes now and then. Vellani added in the interview,

“He’s very very professional and very good about it, like, okay this is what my character needs, I wouldn’t say that, let’s get to the next take, like, he’s very to the point, and I love that because he brings so much of that to Nick Fury”

Vellani felt the Khans and Kamala together brought the fun version out of Nick Fury since he was more playful in The Marvels than in any other of his MCU movies. She added that Jackson was keen on having more of a good time while working on the film. Besides that, Jackson also seemed great with cats and embraced the movie’s theme that involved space and, well, cats.
