Henry Cavill is on his way out. Following the actor’s newly announced comeback as Superman being ruled out by DC Studios chief James Gunn, speculation that Cavill may retaliate by resuming his part as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher has been put to rest too. However, the world’s favorite geeky beefcake has a new project in the works: a Warhammer 40,000 adaption with Amazon.
After The Hollywood Reporter reported that Amazon was in the final stages of acquiring the rights, Games Workshop revealed that it had signed an arrangement with the tech and entertainment behemoth to develop a Warhammer 40K cinematic universe.

The Hollywood Reporter article cited a series, but Games Workshop stated that the contract includes all kinds of media.
“I have loved Warhammer since I was a boy, making this moment truly special for me. The opportunity to shepherd this cinematic universe from its inception is quite the honor and the responsibility,”
“For 30 years I have dreamt of seeing a Warhammer universe in live action. Now, after 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life.”
