Over the years, Scarlett Johansson has gathered a massive and dedicated fan base for her role of Black Widow in the MCU. The Lucy actress has been playing her iconic role since phase 1 of MCU, and she made her first appearance in Iron Man 2. The actress’ on and off-screen relationships with the other MCU actors have made the Marvel films more enjoyable to watch, which is also one of the key factors for the success of the Avengers movies.

Scarlett Johansson’s Next Adventure with Her Marvel Co-stars

During ComicCon 2023, the cast of the animated prequel was announced where it was stated that Scarlett Johansson will be joining Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree, who will be voicing Optimus Prime and Megatron, the leaders of Autobots and Decepticons. The Sing actress will be voicing Elita, and joining her will be another Marvel actor Laurence Fishburne voicing Alpha Trion.

Transformers One is set to tell the origin stories of the leaders of Autobots and Decepticons, and this will be the seventh film in the Transformers franchise to get a theatrical release. Since fans know that Optimus Prime and Megatron are enemies and different sides of the same coin. Keeping this in mind, the film will be narrating the story around the younger versions of these two iconic characters who were once fighting together as brother-in-arms for the same cause, but later both turned enemies. Expectations from the film are sky-high because, during Michael Bay’s Transformers films and the animated series, viewers have seen sneak peeks of their friendship and how Prime talks about Megatron stumbling from his path.

Moreover, the animated film is bringing in other iconic characters like Johansson’s Elita, who is one of the most prominent figures in the franchise, featuring for the first time in the generation one cartoon series. Her addition to the film is great news because she is a prominent leader and an outstanding warrior, with a complex and layered backstory giving a tragic touch to the prequel, and ardent fans of the series know that she was also the love interest of the leader of the Autobots. Hence her presence would give more depth to the age-old battle between Autobots and Decepticons.
