BenDavid Grabinski, the director, emailed the original cast members, and they were ready to reprise their roles.

Even though it was a hit among its peers, there is doubt surrounding a sequel to the animated series.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off Might Not Have a Second Season
In most cases, when a series or anime does well, it gets renewed for a second season, just like One Piece Live Action. But in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’s case, it might not happen. Apart from Netflix showing no signs of renewing the show for a second season, showrunners BenDavid Grabinski and Bryan Lee O’Malley confirmed that the show had a proper ending and was left hanging in between.
BenDavid Grabinski said to GamesRadar,
“This season is a story that has an end. But I love this world, the cast, and the characters. If Bryan and I sat down one day and started brainstorming and thinking of other stories to tell, and the cast wanted to do it, then great, but I put 10,000% of my brain into this season, and I think it has a great ending.”
Raising uncertainty over Scott Pilgrim Takes Off season 2, Bryan O’Malley said to Rolling Stones, “I never say never, but right now, it seems like it would take about 50 different miracles simultaneously for another season to happen. So we’ll see.” Both the showrunners are uncertain about the future of the show, but they are not denying that it won’t happen. Fans can only hope to see those 50 different miracles happening simultaneously.

BenDavid Grabinski mentioned that the thought of the project after Scott Pilgrim vs. the World never left his mind. Now, the fans believe that it should be the same this time, too, as they are eagerly waiting for a season. The upsetting news about season two not being considered is something that they never wished for. This news has somewhat dimmed the excitement of season one.
Even though the showrunners are not completely against the idea of a second season, it is just that they are not ready at the moment. With Netflix also showing no signs of renewal, the fans can only hope for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off season 2.
