Whether it is Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Hulk, or Spider-Man, one film that every fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is desperately awaiting is Avengers: Secret Wars. There have been various superheroes introduced throughout the franchise, especially in the latest phases. With these heroes, there sets out to be a journey unimaginably dangerous for the heroes that fans have followed for so long.

Many films and shows have been dropping titbits of hints here and there. Some might consider them easter eggs while others could see them as foreshadowing for what the MCU is preparing. As such, there seem to be other films that are set to become the foundation of the much-anticipated film. By the looks of it, these would also include Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4.

The Foundations of a Secret War

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ups and downs are all eyeing to one possible ending; Avengers: Secret Wars. According to Daniel Ritchman (via Hollywood Handle on X), there would be four different movies set to prepare fans for the upcoming epic finale. Although said finale is nowhere near its release, seeing that it is scheduled to premiere in 2027, it gives the MCU ample amount of room for both growth and improvement.

In this change and learning path, there will be many projects that the franchise is looking to release. Out of these, Spider-Man 4, Fantastic 4, Shang-Chi 2, and Deadpool 3 will act as the driving force of the upcoming phases. These movies are reportedly meant to lead up to the sixth Avengers movie. All of these films are perhaps the most anticipated projects amongst the fans so it would make sense for them to also hold just as significant of importance within the franchise as well. However, there is one factor, or more so a wish, that would be pulled away from the fans if Tom Holland’s Peter Parker’s journey in the depths of danger is only just beginning.

Spider-Man 4 Could Take Away the Essence of Peter Parker

There is one possibility that will be introduced with Spider-Man 4 that fans have been waiting to see ever since Tom Holland first took up the mantle of the superhero. The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is yet to make a debut despite the hero itself being a part of the franchise for as long as Captain America: Civil War. Spider-Man: No Way Home confirmed that things for Peter Parker were only just beginning, with the entire course so far being an origin story for him.

If there is no lighter side to the hero then there is no room for exploration when it comes to a side he is primarily known for. From his quips to the thwips, if the fourth film were to focus on Secret Wars, then there is a strong chance that his journey post his trauma would not be explored as deeply as many want to see.
