Gears of War: E-Day is the much-awaited entry into the classic Gears of War franchise. It’s been four long and painful years since the Gears 5 DLC was released and the franchise got a huge announcement.
The recent trailer release changed everything though, and long-time fans are coming out of the trenches to show their love for the franchise in creative ways. However, one particular custom Xbox job takes the cake, and people can’t get enough of it.
This Custom Xbox Will Tempt You to Loosen the Purse Strings
X/Twitter is filled with all kinds of people. However, when you merge the side that’s extremely passionate about certain topics and the side that’s extremely talented in their respective creative niche, you get a group that takes the best from both sides—people fuelled by passion making awesome creative art for their interests.
@WanderingDutchX is one of those people. He makes awe-striking custom Xbox’s, and one of his latest jobs has caught the eye of many Gears of War fans.
This Gears of War: E-Day Series X will make you want to get one for yourself, even if you’re not a loyal fan of the franchise. The custom job was done for their friend; surely, several people wish they were that friend right now.
The Series S isn’t that popular, especially compared to its superior counterpart, the Series X. If these were mass-produced for the more advanced console, no doubt a lot of people wouldn’t think twice before grabbing one for themselves.
The talented artist has also done custom jobs themed after Fable and Sea of Thieves. No matter what side of the console war you’re on, there’s no harm in appreciating some good-quality work.
Now, if someone at Xbox could spot these customs from @WanderingDutchX and set up some kind of limited-edition, handmade custom deal, that would simply be the cherry on top. A hopeless fool can dream, and that hopeless fool is me.
Gears of War: E-Day Will Be a Monumental Release for the Franchise
Since Microsoft acquired the rights to Gears of War, E-Day will be the fifth game released with help from The Coalition (previously Black Tusk Studios).
News of the game was released as a surprise announcement at the recent Xbox Games Showcase (although whispers of it had been floating around for a while).
The game is built on Unreal Engine 5, which has had an amazing track record so far. It’ll be a delight to see where The Coalition takes the story in this upcoming installment.
In a surprise twist of events, we’ll be going backward into the past for this entry, following a younger version of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as they find themselves in the middle of the Locust Invasion on E-Day, or Emergence Day.
