Shadow of the Erdtree is now available to play on any platform where the base game is available and the gaming community is being spoiled. FromSoftware has single-handedly pioneered the Soulslike genre and some players are still stuck in the past for the right reasons.

Hidetaka Miyazaki directed a handful of Soulsborne games and is the CEO of the studio, as a game developer, he had specific goals that needed to be met. Pain only makes a player stronger but one player took it to the extreme by running back towards an iconic classic.

FromSoftware has been around for quite some time and contributed greatly to the game industry through the Soulsborne franchise. The franchise has nurtured a generation of competitive players that managed to accomplish great and impossible feats like Let Me Solo Her who was renowned for their skill in mowing down Malenia of Elden Ring who now goes by Let Me Solo Him as they now have their sights on the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and the newest threat: Messmer.

The gaming community is down for any challenge and one content creator called Ymfah is unsatisfied with the difficulty of the latest project and decided to go back to a classic and made it even harder with a self-imposed challenge of no walking.

How to Beat Dark Souls 2 without Walking

Despite how insane the title of the video sounds, Ymfah fears nothing and will not rest until they succeed. Taking away mobility will be an extra challenge for players, Soulslike games are all about timing and not being able to evade an incoming attack will most likely be deadly.

Timing is imperative in games like this and Ymfah had to find a way to work around not being able to run like normal or being able to use ladders to ascend or descend the landscape. Perhaps the content creator should look into other methods of beating these powerful enemies like attacking them from a distance with ranged attacks like one player did in Elden Ring to beat Mohg.

Forget Running if Walking Is Not an Option in Dark Souls 2 for Ymfah

Ymfah was able to get around the game by attacking which can make them go forward and dash backward. Fortunately, the bonfire is Miyazaki’s favorite feature and pulled through for the content creator.

The bonfire serves as a checkpoint area for players to respawn. Ymfah had no choice but to think outside the box and use it to their advantage to get around certain areas.

FromSoftware designed their games to be difficult to encourage the players to try better. Ymfah took the lesson to heart and made it even harder for personal improvement.

Despite being way older, Dark Souls 2 was an excellent installment for the franchise. Content creators like Ymfah spent hours to make good content and this one is by far the best.
