We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, and FromSoftware has begun to reveal several details unraveling what the upcoming DLC has to offer. From concept art to videos, fans have been given glimpses into the world of the Land of Shadow. This also includes the latest full cinematic story trailer for the DLC, which also gave us a chilling peek into a bloody war that took place under the command of Messmer the Impaler.
Now, we’ve been given another peek into the mysteries awaiting players in the Land of Shadows through brand-new leaked screenshots. The majority of these are images of various regions around the map. However, one particular image gives us a look at a Fort that seems to be even creepier than the Shaded Castle.
Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Features a Terrifying Fort
The leaked images from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion popped up on ruliweb.com, a Korean website forum. These images do not contain any spoilers for the DLC and give us a look at the landscape and surroundings that are supposed to be featured in Land of Shadow. Although the images are secondary photos of a computer screen, which unfortunately ruins the quality somewhat, there’s still much to learn.
One of the most interesting images reveals an old Fort, which, if horror games have taught us anything, definitely looks to be filled with some of the spookiest beasts. Whether it’s the dread Deatblight Swamp that surrounds the Fort is still unclear, but the water at the bottom clearly looks contaminated.
The Fort in the leaked images looks to be even creepier than the Shaded Castle from the base game. If you haven’t played the game yet, Shaded Castle is one of the minor Dungeons that is tucked away in the northern region of the Atlus Plateau.
The castle is arguably one of the most haunted ones in the game. However, it seems like Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team want to one-up everything in the DLC and give players a more frightening place to explore.
It’s not only the new Fort and areas; the expansion will also bring new weapons, magic, equipment, and much more. Even though it’s the only planned expansion for Elden Ring, it sure looks to pack a punch and bring the Elden Ring experience to the next level.
Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Length Revealed By Insiders
The latest Elden Ring leaks have caused massive excitement among the player base, who is patiently waiting to see what FromSoftware has planned for the game’s future. However, one aspect that has managed to capture everyone’s attention is the expansion’s total length.
When the DLC was first announced, many gamers thought that the Elden Ring DLC would be a typical one and just feature 20-25 hours of content. Now, one of the industry insiders has revealed that Shadow of the Erdtree will roughly take 70 hours to complete.
The expansion’s length isn’t surprising, considering the fact that the developers have been working on it for two years. With this DLC, FromSoftware plans to completely revolutionise the Elden Ring experience for players and set a new industry standard for game expanions.
Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion launches next month for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC Players. So, now is your chance to begin a new playthrough or do any last-minute changes and tweaks to your character builds.
