According to the Reddit user illMet8ySunlight, there is no point in constantly whining about the difficulty of DLC and how it is much tougher than the base game. In a vacuum, the DLC might seem super challenging; however, the idea is to adapt and overcome.

There are also a few actual reasons why you could be struggling to clear the DLC. If you are still using the weapons from the base game, it might be better to switch to the weapons provided in the DLC. Furthermore, there are summons available in the game that can make boss fights easier.

It’s also worth noting that the Elden Ring and its DLC are Soulslike, so they are intended to be hard. Requesting to introduce a difficulty level selection defeats the whole point of the game being hard to clear.

Twitch streamer Kai Cenat’s marathon of clearing Shadow of the Erdtree has come to an end after almost 100 hours of streaming. His sheer resilience and determination to complete the DLC proves that it can be done if you put your mind to it.

The Twitch star managed to reach the final boss of the game around the 50-hour mark, and with just the final phase of the game remaining, the victory felt inevitable. However, he had to work for the glory, as it took almost 50 hours more to defeat the final boss.

What’s interesting is that Kai Cenat is new to Elden Ring’s genre, having only completed the base game before. This goes on to show that while the DLC is extremely difficult, it is doable. It’s also worth noting that he defeated the final boss without using any summons.
