Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has seen many powerful characters in the past 27 years, but none of them are as intimidating as Red-Haired Shanks. The longest holder of the Emperor of the Sea title, Shanks has proved his worth in almost every aspect of the One Piece narrative, be it strength or ambition. But the thing that makes these achievements even more impressive is the fact that Shanks did all this with just one hand.

As One Piece fans know, Shanks lost his arm when he was saving Luffy from the Sea King, the Lord of the Coast. He sacrificed his arm to save the future, and Luffy is proving his decision right. However, looking at Shanks’ true strength in the recent episode, One Piece fans have been wondering how powerful he would be if he had both hands.

Although it is impossible now for Shanks to get his hand back, a One Piece theory claims that there is still a chance for the fans to see what Shanks would be capable of with both hands. But for this theory to come through, Shanks might have to break his own rule and eat a Devil Fruit. The Devil Fruit that could make this happen is the Hana Hana no Mi of Nico Robin.

One Piece Theory Claims Shanks Might Be Able To Get His Hand Back

According to @Manga-Nation, the Flower-Flower fruit would be perfect for Shanks. As seen with Nico Robin, the Hana Hana no Mi allows its users to grow extra body parts wherever they want. These parts can not only grow on the user’s body but on other objects and characters as well. Not only that, but the Devil Fruit also allows its users to make a clone for themselves.

Thus, this would be the perfect Devil Fruit for Shanks as he would be able to regrow his lost hand and also use other body parts of his to attack his opponent and deal with them without taking much strength. The Hana Hana no Mi fruit is truly great, and it could bring a big change to Shanks’ character in One Piece.

While it sounds too good to be true, Shanks and his crew have never touched another Devil Fruit. It is a non-negotiable for the Red-Haired Pirates, and it has created a lot of stir on the internet about the reason behind not officially carrying a Devil Fruit user along with his crew.

What Will Happen If Shanks Gets Both Hands Back?

If Shanks somehow gets his second hand back, he will become more strong than he already is. He probably won’t even need his Conqueror’s Haki to defeat his opponents. His sword attacks would become stronger, and he would be able to reach a level that no one in One Piece has ever been able to do.

Shanks’ true strength lies in his Haki techniques, and while he doesn’t need his hands much to bend his opponents according to his own will, another hand would prove to be the best advantage that Shanks will be able to get. This advantage would be able to take him to the next level that no One Piece character would be able to reach.

However, Eiichiro Oda knows Shanks’ true strength, and he is satisfied with what he has. Even Shanks doesn’t care much about his hand, and he rarely ever speaks of it. He sacrificed it for the future, and he is keeping a close eye on him and hopes to see him achieve his dream of finding the One Piece character.
