Wonder Woman may appear, but with a twist

DCU is never short of sensational news. According to a press release, it was revealed that model and actress Taylor Cahill will be playing “Fake Wonder Woman” in Shazam 2. There is no concrete information about the American model’s role in the film but the brief appearance of the character resembling Wonder Woman may be “Fake Wonder Woman,” and not Gal Gadot as Diana.

This seems to be a new twist to the plotline and it will be interesting to see how this bit of information takes shape over the next few weeks, before the release of Shazam 2. It also remains to be seen then, if there will still be space for Gal Gadot, the original Wonder Woman to make an appearance.

What are the reasons to cast “Fake” Wonder Woman?

The intriguing news of “Fake” Wonder Woman coming in has raised questions about who or why such a character is needed. All indications point to simply creating a hilarious ending for the film through Taylor Cahill’s version of Shazam 2.  In the first film, Billy Batson repeatedly expressed having a small crush on the iconic heroine.

It is therefore a possibility that this version of Wonder Woman may serve a similar role as well. The first film also incorporated a humorous final scene with a faceless Superman having lunch with Shazam and his family. This could be the recurring theme with Wonder Woman too.
