However, the Fight Club star has reportedly refused to do so. Insiders accused Angelina Jolie of bringing personal issues into the business dispute and mentioned that she knew she had a losing case (via Daily Mail),

She is realizing that she does not have a strong case anymore and she also knows that she may likely have to shell out the money by order of the courts. Bringing very personal issues into a business lawsuit is backfiring on her. It has exposed the weaknesses in her case and has complicated matters for both parties. She didn’t need to do this.

The two have been feuding over the winery sale while also fighting their divorce case.

While sources close to Brad Pitt mention that ex-wife Angelina Jolie was trying to turn their business dispute into a personal issue, Jolie’s side claimed that Pitt was the one who made it personal. According to her lawyers, Pitt offered to buy her out of the winery by making her sign an NDA that reportedly stopped her from speaking out about his alleged abuse (via People).

A source close to the Eternals star mentioned that Jolie just wanted to move past the dispute and let the family heal while Pitt was being relentless. They told the Daily Mail,

Suing her for 67 million dollars because she refused to sign an NDA covering up his abuse is not a ‘simple business dispute’. All Angelina wants is peace, but he is determined to continue fighting her and blaming everyone but himself for the situation he’s now in.

According to People, Jolie had also reportedly requested Brad Pitt to disclose all third-party communications after the 2016 plane ride that led to the divorce, which Pitt’s lawyers deem an intrusive move.
