One such film of Depp’s was The Tourist which co-starred Angelina Jolie. But the coming of two mega stars on one set gives rise to several rumors, including the one claiming that the two stars do not share a healthy relationship. But it looks like these false rumors were clarified when the Sleepy Hollow star spoke highly of Mr. & Mrs. Smith star.

Johnny Depp And Angelina Jolie Hated Working With Each Other?

The movie, The Tourist, brought together two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, in a thrilling romantic thriller. Released in 2010, the film tells the story of an American tourist named Frank, played by Depp, who finds himself caught up in a web of intrigue and danger while on a trip to Europe. Jolie portrays the mysterious and alluring Elise, a woman with a secret agenda.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie‘s on-screen collaboration in the movie created quite a buzz, with rumors swirling about their chemistry both on and off set. There were reports from insiders indicating that the two stars were not getting along with each other. The insider revealed that the Salt star thinks that the Cry-Baby star thinks highly of himself and her experience of working along with him was not good. 

“She’s getting fed up with Johnny. Their chemistry was supposed to fly off the charts, but in private, they’re not getting along. She was disappointed that he didn’t get in better shape for the role and that he didn’t want to cut his hair…Johnny retreats to his own trailer until he’s called out again. He thinks she’s really full of herself. Even though Johnny’s family visits periodically, Angelina hasn’t extended an invitation to Johnny. Angelina’s experience on The Tourist hasn’t been the best, to say the least.”

However, despite the above-stated claims, the Pirates of the Caribbean star and Jolie spoke highly of each other in public and did not indicate any hatred. In fact, Depp went ahead and described the  Maleficent star as a perfect balance of beauty, intelligence, humor, and wits. 

“She’s everything. She’s kind of a walking poem, Angelina is. She’s this perfect beauty but at the same time very deep, very smart, very quick, very clever, very funny, and also has a very perverse sense of humor.”
