Who Inspired Pom Klementieff to Become Paris?

Pom Klementieff has proved time and again that she is a skilled actor and no matter what, she can take on any role with ease. One such example happened to be that of Paris, a deadly assassin who was introduced in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. According to an interview conducted by Cosmopolitan, she revealed just what inspired her to take on the role and who she found herself resonating with.

“There’s lots more emotion to convey with little speech. My character is by herself a lot, and she’s like an animal hunting her prey so it makes sense for her to talk less. When I watched the last scene, though, it was so satisfying to see a more fully fleshed, human and vulnerable side of Paris.”

Scott Eastwood and Pom Klementieff have something in common, they both noticed how Clint Eastwood is an actor who does not need a lot of dialogue to play the part. To bring Paris to life, the actress found herself being inspired by him as well as Takeshi Kitano and Steve McQueen. All three of these actors are best known for having lesser dialogue and no one has ever complained about that either. So to perfect Paris’s characteristics, there were no other people she thought were better suited for her as inspirations.

“He always challenges himself, was so supportive of each of us and was always there if we needed anything. He’s extremely generous, kind and funny and it was so beautiful to watch him work and share the screen with him. He opened my mind to so many things I would never have done before, like sky-diving!”
