The actress is reportedly ready to date after healing herself from the traumatic split. As per reports from In Touch via The News, sources have come forward reporting the media outlet how the actress is ready to be in the dating pool.
The sources said,
For years, Angelina didn’t even think of dating. Not only was she heartbroken and traumatized by the divorce, but she was determined to focus on herself, her health and her children.
The sources further continued how it took her a long time to come to this decision but she finally has built the courage to open herself to new relationships.
It’s taken her a long time to get here, but Angelina is slowly opening herself up to new relationships. Angelina was stuck in a rut during the drawn-out divorce. She gets pigeonholed as being moody and difficult, but that’s because she was going through a lot of heartache.
The sources added how Jolie is not looking forward to dating a man from the entertainment industry and has set the bar very high as she wants “to meet interesting people” and “measures up to her standards.“
They said,
Angelina’s not really into the L.A. scene with all the entertainment industry types. She wants to meet interesting people who are passionate about the arts. She’s looking to date someone who measures up to her standards — even if they’re impossibly high!
Though the bar is set incredibly high for her date, it clearly shows that the actress is not desperate and is not interested in finding a worldly soulmate but someone who shares similar thoughts with her.
Angelina Jolie Had Fair Share of Doubts Before Marrying Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie first met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and both of them fell head over heels for each other. After playing on-screen married assassins in the film, the two decided to surprise the world by getting married. However, before tying the knot back in 2014, the Kung Fu Panda actress had doubts before walking down the aisle and expressed hesitation in marrying Pitt because she had made a couple of promises to herself.
In the 2007 October Marie Claire issue, the Eternals actress opened up about her struggles before marrying Brad Pitt, and she assumed it was not the ceremony that would make her feel confident. She said,
Brad and I have never discussed it [marriage] in detail, but I would assume – because we both went down that road before – that its not a contract or the ceremony that makes you feel solid.
Angelina Jolie further continued how she would rather work hard and start a family than merely get married to someone. This similar ideology solidified her relationship with the Fury actor. She added,
